The 2012 North American Environmental Field Conferences & Expositions will be scheduled for the first time on both the west and east coasts. The west coast Conference is scheduled for February 7-10, 2012 at the Marriott Courtyard at Liberty Station in San Diego, CA and the east coast Conference is scheduled for March 13-16, 2012 at the Embassy Suites USF in Tampa, FL.

These Conferences will feature more than 60 hours of interactive indoor workshops at each location, discussing cutting-edge field-based environmental technology presented by the world’s leading experts in their fields; more than 24 hours of hands-on, interactive outdoor workshops and equipment demonstrations at each location, featuring the latest environmental field methods and equipment; an educational Exposition featuring 40 indoor and outdoor exhibits of state-of-the-science environmental equipment and services at each location; and an active social calendar so Conference attendees can chat with the experts and make new friends.

Geotech will not only be presenting workshops at the 2012 North American Field Conference and Exposition in Tampa, Florida, but also in San Diego, California.

Active skimming systems for recovering hydrocarbon product.

The SpOILer is a pneumatically operated recovery system. The "controllerless" internally regulated bladder pump cycles automatically when air is applied. The floating skimmer attachment confidently tracks water table fluctuations in excess of 24" (61cm) with the 4" (100cm) skimmer to recover floating hydrocarbons to a sheen.

The system includes 100 (30m) feet of both air and product discharge tubing, and a well cap to suspend the pump and skimmer for fast and easy installation. Optional pneumatically operated Tankfull Shut-Off (TFSO) systems are also available. Simply route the air supply line through the TFSO installed on your recovery tank, and the air supply to the pump will be interrupted when the tank is full.

United States Secretary of Commerce,
John Bryson Awards Geotech Certificate
of Excellence for Export Achievement

US Secretary of Commerce, John Bryson presented Geotech Environmental Equipment, Inc. with the Certificate of Excellence for Export Achievement. The award was presented at Geotech's factory in Denver when Secretary Bryson visited Geotech to discuss the Obama administration's efforts to put more Americans back to work and encourage economic growth. Secretary Bryson toured Geotech's award-winning facility with Congresswoman Diana DeGette.
