3rd Annual Geotech Field Days

On June 23rd and 24th, 2011, Geotech hosted its complimentary 3rd Annual Field Days event, designed to provide our clients with demos, training and hands-on experience utilizing the latest tools, methods and technologies – without the travel and expense of trade shows and conferences. The event took place at Geotech's corporate headquarters, 2650 E. 40th Ave., Denver, CO 80205.

Organizations presenting or exhibiting at the Geotech Field Days included: 
AMS, CHEMetrics, Geotech Computer Systems, Instrumentation Northwest, In-Situ, Ion Science, Nielsen Field School, Oakton, Pace Analytical, RAE Systems, SonTek, SWANA and YSI Environmental.

Following Field Days, in conjunction with the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Geotech hosted the 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on June 25th. The tournament was played at the beautiful West Woods Golf Club in Arvada, Colorado. Approximately $20,000 was raised for the charity with the help of our sponsors and participants.

We at Geotech are very appreciative of our clientele and this event gives something of value back to the industry professionals who are making a difference in today's world. Plan to be there next year on June 21-22, 2012 for an even better event.

RAE Systems offers a full line of wirelessly enabled solutions, including personal, hand-held, transportable, and fixed instruments designed to meet the needs of any toxic gas detection usage scenario. Applications include energy production, refining, industrial and environmental safety, public-venue safety and government first-responder markets.

RAE has added two more families of portable true wireless instruments, MultiRAE for multi-threat detection and ToxiRAE Pro for personal safety. ToxiRAE Pros are the industry’s first wireless personal single-gas monitors, elevating worker safety to the next level. The ToxiRAE Pro PID is also the world’s smallest PID. Other ToxiRAE Pro models are the ToxiRAE Pro and the ToxiRAE Pro LEL.  The MultiRAE Pro is the first portable wireless monitor with gamma radiation detection. It can also measure VOCs in ppb. Other MultiRAE models are the MultiRAE, MultiRAE Lite Diffusion and MultiRAE Lite Pumped.

Both instrument families share most toxic sensors. Closed-loop wireless with EchoView Host can remotely monitor the readings and alarm status of up to 8 ToxiRAE Pro or MultiRAE instruments. With the ProRAE Guardian real-time wireless safety system you can set up a wide area network of up to 512 wireless monitors to include ToxiRAE Pro and MultiRAE instruments.

Many other improvements have been made from the previous ToxiRAEs and MultiRAEs; more sensor options, longer lasting Li-ion batteries, better alarms, large graphical displays, higher IP ratings, easier to service in the field, and much more.

• has an unusual twist or story: equipment being used overseas, on an interesting project, or for humanitarian purposes… wildlife or Mother Nature butting/intruding… the perfect shot at sunset, etc.
