Geotech is very proud to be a part of this study to help the people of Bangladesh assess and remedy this Arsenic problem. On left- Nasir Ahmed, standing John Earl (USGS Denver Federal Center), kneeling Ratan Kumar. Ratan and Nasir are with the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission - Isotope Hydrology Division. Bangladesh has a huge problem with naturally occurring ARSENIC in their groundwater that is killing thousands of people from their drinking water wells. Besides USGS, Geotech is also working w/Univ. of Cincinnati + Mass. Institute of Tech. (MIT) with field equipment to collect groundwater samples for trace metals analysis. Geotech Equipment being used in the picture is our large Georeel portable RediFlo2 groundwater sampling system + VFD (Controller) + our Dispos-a-filters.
