NOTICE: Customers are billed one time for all charges incurred during rental period. Rental period ends after the equipment has been returned to our facility.
Each product rented from Geotech Environmental Equipment, Inc. (Geotech) shall be delivered to the customer and/or end-user in the manner in which Geotech wishes to have that product returned. All rental fees cover normal wear and tear of our rental equipment. All rental equipment should be properly maintained throughout the rental period, and must be cleaned, decontaminated, and returned to Geotech in the same condition in which it was received.
At no time shall any repair of any rental equipment be attempted without the consent of Geotech. Any costs resulting from damage to the product, negligence on the part of the user, or any other situation not related to normal wear and tear of our rental equipment will automatically be charged to the customer, in addition to the rental charges. Geotech includes a picking ticket with every shipment. Upon receipt of the rental equipment the customer/end user must check the picking ticket against the equipment
received and immediately notify Geotech of any shortages. Any shortages not reported to Geotech within 24 hours from the time the equipment was received, will be charged at list price to the customer. Geotech must be notified within 24 hours from the time the equipment was received regarding any missing, defective or malfunctioning equipment or full rental fees will be charged.
When rental equipment is shipped the billing period begins the day after we ship the equipment and ends the day prior to our receiving the rental equipment. Geotech ships all rental equipment by Next-Day Air. Geotech considers one week rental to be five working days; Monday through Friday. There is no rental charge for Saturday or Sunday. After the first week of rental, the final week of rental may be pro-rated by dividing the weekly rental charge by five.
When the rental equipment is picked up at the Geotech facility in Denver, Colorado or Williamston, Michigan, the rental billing is based on a 24-hour system. Equipment returned the following day, before the time (hour) that it was picked up will be billed at a single day's rental rate. Equipment returned the following day after the hour that it was picked up will be billed as two days rental. The rental day begins the hour the equipment is picked up and each rental day following begins at that same hour.
There is no pro-rating for partial days.
Daily rental billing will never exceed the weekly billing rate, the invoice will be automatically adjusted to ensure this. Geotech will prepay and add to the invoice all shipping and handling charges. All costs associated with the return are the responsibility of the customer.
