Making it easy
to obtain quality data
and do it right
the first time

YSI instruments, software, and data collection platforms are mainly focused on environmental monitoring and testing. YSI develops, manufactures and integrates instrumentation and systems for measuring and monitoring water quality, level, and flow. This covers the spectrum of outdoor water applications such as oceans, coasts, estuaries, groundwater, surface water, and aquaculture.

The Level Scout instrument is designed to measure and record level and temperature accurately, and record the readings (along with time stamp) at user-selectable rates. Internal batteries provide power and provide years of data logging capabilities. Data logging modes include linear, linear averaging, event triggered, and logarithmic sampling. The batteries are field-replaceable with a quick-disconnect cable assembly.

The Data Scout Advanced desktop software can be used to set up logging sequences, display tabular and graphical data, correlate barometric data, download logged data from multiple Level Scouts, acquire real-time data sampling, and configure alarms. In addition to the software, the instrument firmware can be upgraded in the field as new versions are released. Applications include ground water monitoring, well monitoring, aquifer testing, Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) tests and open channel monitoring.

The YSI Level Scout instrument is available as vented or absolute, stainless steel or titanium, and 2 or 4 Mb of memory.

Geotech is very pleased to have the opportunity to work closely with YSI as both a resource for new instruments and as a Warranty Service Center for YSI field instruments. If you require confidence in your field data, (and who doesn't), look to YSI and Geotech Environmental Equipment, Inc. as your field instrument resource!

It was designed to simplify the process of controlling water flow from 12 VDC submersible pumps while doing low flow sampling. Keeping the controller simple to use with one control knob would not only make it easier for the operator to use while sampling, but make it a good low-cost match for disposable purging pumps.

ON/OFF and variable speed is controlled with just one knob, allowing the operator the use of a free hand. Internal features include reverse polarity, over current and motor fault protection. A re-settable circuit breaker button is supplied. Automobile accessory connectors are used for easy and convenient set-ups. Compact and rugged, it is ready to go anywhere low flow control is needed.

Contact Geotech to find out how to get your hand on a BUuck.

"Just Turn The Knob"

At the suggestion of Geotech's Jack Buuck in Texas for a simple-to-use controller to use with Geotech's new GeoSub 12 Volt submersible pump, Geotech designed and built the 12 Volt BUuck Controller.
